Outlook Express E-mail Program
The graphic above is how I have my Outlook Express Program set up. Inbox Outlook Express at the very top tells me that I have the inbox displayed. Second line down is what I call the word line. A click on one of those words will produce a popup menu. Third is the Icon line. It has some Of the same commands that appear in the popup menu.
This shows what folders I have setup and use in my OUTLOOK EXPRESS program. At the top is outlook express when that is displayed it gives you a menu. LOCAL FOLDER show all the Folders I have setup INBOX, OUTBOX, SENT ITEMS, DELETED ITEMS, DRAFT, SAVE and SeniorNet. A click on the SEND and RECEIVE ICON in the graphic above will SEND OUT or RETRIVE my E-MAIL. OUTBOX will show how many E-mail I have constructed and have been sent. I keep a copy of every thing I send and it automatically goes in to send folder. DELETED ITEMS is the E-mail I have read and deleted. However I am not too quick to empty this folder as there may be mail in there that I want to refer to later. DRAFT FOLDER is where I will place mail that I am not ready to send and want to keep for future work. I setup SAVE to keep all the E-mail I get that is important. The last item on that picture is SeniorNet where I can keep copies of all the thing I need to know about this club.
A click on the NEW MAIL ICON produced this graphic which I have address duvall49@home.com gave it a Subject test # 1 and then filled The body of my message. Another click on the SEND ICON and away it went. I clicked on TO which would have opened my address book. Where I could have selected the address. If I would have had more than one person to sent it to I would have use BCC. I very seldom use CC as some of my friends do not want there address know to others.
On the left you can see that I got my E-Mail. I am going to click on reply and do just that reply.
You can tell by the subject line when RE is in there that you are replying to the message. Now I started by saying HI Dond then I realized that I didn't need anything down in the body of the message so holding the left mouse button down I move it across the lines and highlighted all of text. A tap on the DELETE key will remove the words from my reply. Alway delete the addresses that show up in the body of the message when you Reply or forward.
My message is complete. A click on send icon and it is gone.
Did you know that a RIGHT CLICK with the mouse POINTER on a blank area IN the ICON line will let you CUSTOMIZE either OUTLOOK EXPRESS or INTERNET EXPLORER.
I placed the mouse pointer over on the right side of my ICON LINE, then CLICKED the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON. The graphic below shows the
Three line menu I wanted. A CLICK with the LEFT MOUSE BUTTON On CUSTOMIZE gives me the menu where I can make my changes.
I want to add a SEPARATOR LINE between REPLY and FORWARD.
Notice in the graphic above the word SEPARATOR is highlighted on the left and on the graphic below it is highlighted on the right side. I can add or remove those ICONS. I also have the ability to move them in different spots on the ICON line with a click on up or down
