MAKING A SIMPLE SLIDE SHOW
I have made very simple slide shows using Microsoft Word or Outlook Express and a graphics program called Irfan View.
I use Microsoft Word or Outlook Express for color to make little signs or to add comments above or below the pictures. Irfan View is used to crop the signs or pictures with comments to the right size.
This first thing I do is setup a File Folder for my pictures. Then copy these pictures into a second folder. Which I use to for deleting the pictures as I use them in the presentation. This way I don't get the same picture in my show a second time.
Either using a scanner to scan the older pictures into my computer or transfer from a camera. It is a must to get the pictures in order for the slide show presentation.
I have come up with the following way to make file names.
1a
1c
1e
Skipping every other letter. The reason is so that should I forget to add a picture in the right slot I can slip it in with out renaming all the files.
Example of file names
1 Meet Wendi Kennedy
1a Wendi
1b Iam bigger sign
1c Bigger than Wendi
Let's look at the first 4 slides.
Or
Using Outlook Express to add color background for the pictures and comments. As show below.
You can insert your pictures into Word or Outlook Express and resize them. Add commets above or below the pictures and then using print screen key to place the the snapshot of the screen on the clipboard.
Note:
With Outlook Express you use FORMAT to get to background colors and INSERT to add pictures. A click on the pictures will give you handles to help resize the pictures.
Let's see just how it is done.
A click on FORMAT then on BACK GROUND another on COLOR and I selected my color.
A click on INSERT another on PICTURE. I get a program to help me find the picture I want.
A click on BROWSE and another on the DOWN ARROW POINT at the end of LOOK in and then a click on DESKTOP and a final click on the picture to Highlight it and then on OPEN.
The graphic below shows that I have inserted the picture into OUTLOOK EXPRESS
When I use Microsoft Word I setup Font Size put everything in the middle and click on INSERT to find the picture. Don't forget the down arrow point at the end of the look end line.
I used Microsoft Word to make the signs before each picture and then a tap on PRINT SCREEN KEY gave me my picture as show in the graphic below.
