SAVING E-MAIL & WEB PAGES
I want to save the above E-mail from my friend David.
A click with the left mouse button on the word FILE produced the drop down menu show in the graphic below. Another click with the left mouse button on SAVE AS.
The SAVE AS click gave me the menu where I can save this E-Mail. Outlook Express program is setup to save everything in the folder
MY DOCUMENTS. If you want to save the files some place else you will have to search those folder out, or make new ones.
The E-mail will be save in MY DOCUMENTS. The file name will be Re Skype and it will be save in .eml format.
As you can see in the graphic below I could have save it in several different formats such as TEXT (txt), Unicode text or in HTML format.
Jump the fence and see how saving a WEB PAGE is different.
Below you will find graphics on saving a WEB Page.
I have decided to save the above WEB PAGE. CLICK on the word FILE in the upper left-hand
corner will produce the drop down menu below.
Click on SAVE AS will give us this pop up menu below
1. FILE NAME is Browser (or what ever you want to name the file.)
2. SAVE AS type of file. (Text under the arrow point would not be a good idea.)
3. SAVE IN at the top of the graphic is where I will save it on my hard drive
4. A CLICK on SAVE over on the lower right side will complete the save
Thanks Nellie for letting me use your nick and password to create this page. Don
