INTERNET EXPLORER
I use INTERNET EXPLORER as my primary BROWSER. This browser opens
to my CYBERCAMP WEB PAGE.
Note the e in top of your screen left corner. That has a popup menu behind it. That EXIT's the program. Over in the right corner is a dash, box or boxes and an X. The X closes the program. The BOX changes size of the screen. While the dash (-) reduces the program to the task bar at the bottom of the screen on XP. Along side of the letter e in the graphic above shows that I have INDEX.HTML using INTERNET EXPLORER as my BROWSER.
On internet explorer # 7 is what I have show here there is and arrow point pointing left another point right. If you have been to more than one page on the web the left will take you back a page and the right will take you forward. The down arrow point will give you a menu to help get around on the web. I also have a Google search engine box with a magnifying glass to activate the search followed by a little down arrow point that will take me to other actives.
The words FILE, EDIT, VIEW, FAVORITES, TOOLS AND HELP all have drop down menus behind them.
The large star will show a history of where I have been on the web and the two stars will let me add pages to favorites. Next come the tabs to let me go back and forth between web pages if I have more that one page open in the browser.
The the end of this line on the right I have 4 icons one for making the screen as large as it will go, tools and a search icon which will open a list of reference books.
The drop down menu under file shows the thinks that can be done to this web page.
NEW is handy to keep the original page on the screen while going to a new one.
A click on Popup Menu above will take us to more detailed coverage.
NOTE:
All the letters have underlines. A combination of the ALT KEY and F KEY will open File from the keyboard. Then a tap on the N KEY and another tap on W KEY will open a new web page. Or a click of the left mouse with the pointer on the word will do the same thing.
The popup menu under EDIT is pretty straight forward. Once a item on the webpage is highlighted COPY becomes active. When Copy is clicked
on PASTE can be used. SELECT ALL will highlight everything on the webpage. A simple click with the mouse on the page and the highlights
will disappear. I have found that holding left mouse button and dragging the point across the text of the page will highlight what I want to copy. SELECT ALL can be a pain. Last word on the menu is FIND. This would be used if you were looking for certain words a click on find produces another popup menu and all you have to do is type in the word you want to find.
Thanks Nellie for letting me use your nick and password to create this page. Don
