Mission Statement
The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization,
led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters
and helps people prevent, prepare for, and cope with
emergencies. It does this through services that are
consistent with its congressional charter and the Central
Illinois Illinois Chapter's core values which are compatible
with the fundamental principles of the
International Red Cross Movement.

The American Red Cross is a volunteer-led humanitarian service organization that annually provides almost half the nation's blood supply, certifies more than 11.5 million people in vital life-saving skills, mobilizes relief to victims of more than 60,000 disasters nationwide, provides direct health services to 2.8 million people, assists international disaster and conflict victims in more than 30 countries, and transmits more than 1.4 million emergency messages to members of the Armed Forces and their families.
