Donna's book review of the Reappearance of Sam Webber, written by Jonathon Scott Fuqua

Between his eleventh and twelfth year, Sam grew up in many ways. Mrs. Webber was depressed because her husband walked away. Sam and his mother were sad. They had to change many parts of their lives. At his new school, Sam had to face a bully. Sam also had to talk to Ditch about his friend Greeley, who was black. Sam wanted Ditch to quit using the “n” word, and he told Ditch not to use it. Sam learned to like his new neighborhood after he met some of the people. He liked Rosie and Mr. Garcia. He was thankful that the neighbors helped when they got robbed. With the help of Greeley, Ditch, and Howard, Sam was able to adjust to his father’s leaving.
