Bangladesh Postal Cards and Stationery
PLEASE NOTE: Additional information was added to this page on January 3, 2002.
- Normal postal card. Issued 3 December 1998
- Miscut postal card. The color of the paper stock is slightly lighter than the postal card illustrated above it. The difference in color makes the ink appear a slightly different color. Issued 3 December 1998.
- Blank posatal card stock cut to size of card. This brighter yellow colored paper is found with the same image as the cards illustrated above it.
- Normal 10p card. Issued 15 February 1973?
- While postal cards with taped repairs are common for the cards of India, they are very scarce in Bangladesh. This is the same die as the one illustrated above, but the one is the "Reply" card and the other the normal postal card.
- This postal card appears to be similar to the one illustrated above it, but the paper stock is different, as is the die, and the size of the writing is smaller. Also, there are not as many dots in each line where the address is to be written. While the card above it has a blank reverse, this card is an error and has the image below on the reverse.
The "REPLY" postal card was issued on 15 February 1973 and again in 1975.
- Reverse (Of above card)
- Miscut 20p postal cards. Issued 1 November 1976.
- Miscut (Horizontally) 20p, plus 5p additional postage, postal card with "Reply" card attached to it. The additional postage covers the "Reply" on the reverse. The "Reply" side is the image on the right. Issued 5 December 1989.
