The 20p Envelope Errors and Varieties
- This view is of the back of the cover. The top portion was bent forward when it was stamped. Viewed from the front when the paper is folded back as it is here, one sees a partial stamp image with an albino imprint of the same partial image under it.
- Two envelopes with partial stamp impressions on the back flaps.
- Two envelopes with double impressions of the stamp image.
- Envelope on left has a double impression of the stamp image. To the right is an envelope with a double impression but one is an albino image.
- Two envelopes with partial stamp impressions.
- Two envelopes viewed from the back, with partial stamp impressions. The fronts of the envelopes are blank, with no stamp impressions.
- Two envelopes with overinking, or the ink too watery.
- The envelope on the left has an albino impression of the stamp image. The other envelope has a partial albino impression on the back. The front of this envelope has a normal stamp impression.
- Cover on the left has two albino partial impressions of the stamp image on the back. One is on the flap next to the image to the left.
The second cover has a partial image at the top and a full albino impression at the bottom. Only part of it shows on the front. The rest of the image can be seen on the back of the envelope.
- Two envelopes with misplaced stamp images. The pink paper was used later for a short period of time when there was a shortage of the regular paper. The pink paper was basically used for the EXPRESS DELIVERY envelopes.
- Albino impression on the new sized envelopes on a slightly green paper. This image and the two that follow are out of proportion size-wise to the other images on the page. These are actually taller and shorter that the others.
- Two partial stamp images on the newer sized envelopes.
